Lintes Technology Co. Ltd.’s first Thunderbolt cable products TBTC-EX-2 has been certified on November 30, 2011 by Intel’s technical qualification. The achievement makes Lintes the world’s third-certified Thunderbolt cable manufacturer.
Thunderbolt technology is developed by Intel, provides faster data and video transmission between external peripheral devices and host computers with 10Gbps high-speed data signal transmission with daisy-chain framework. Thunderbolt technology extends the PC’s computing power and performance, and brings innovative PC-based equipments to the overall market. Thunderbolt technology allows transferring a full-length two hours of high-definition HD movie in less than 30 seconds. Thunderbolt technology has been awarded by the National Computing Association of the US for the Silver Front Award in 2011.
After the technical qualification, Intel will audit capacity and production plans from Lintes technology to provide the quality and quantity performance to customers. Lintes Technology will build up a dedicated production line of Thunderbolt cable in its Suzhou factory, and is now expected to be named in Intel’s MOW database before the end of January 2012.
Lintes technology will develop a series of Thunderbolt product lines in the future, including 10cm, 50cm, 70cm, 1m and 2m in length. In the foreseeable future, Lintes technology will continue to offer more advanced cables for rapid and large amounts of data transmission and design flexibility.
